The Amsterdam Dance Event or in short: ADE, is held from Wednesday 16 to Sunday 20 October 2019 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The ADE 2019 line-up features the best dj’s in the world. Almost all clubs and venues in Amsterdam line-up dj’s and organize parties under the flag of ADE.

The ADE 2019 lineup features major Dutch dj’s like Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, and Tiësto as well as some of the biggest international names: Nina Kraviz, Jamie Jones, Ricardo Villalobos, Marcel Dettmann, Seth Troxler, Âme, David Guetta and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.

1. AMF

Where & when: Saturday 19 October 2019, Johan Cruijfff ArenA

AMF is the biggest party of Amsterdam Dance Event 2019. It takes place in the football stadium of Amsterdam Ajax: the Johan Cruijff ArenA. On the decks are alle the biggest names in electronic music. Taking place in the biggest indoor venue in the country, this is ADE’s largest party.

2. Our Story – 15 Years Tomorrowland

Where & when: Ziggo Dome, 17-18 October 2019

Tomorrowland is the biggest EDM Festival in the world and they are celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. It’s the first time Tomorrowland is part of the Amsterdam Dance Event. Expect an amazing show and party crowd in one of Amsterdam’s largest indoor venues, easily reachable by public transport.

Just across the Amsterdam IJ water, easy to reach by free ferry lies the cultural hub NDSM, a former ship yard. Amsterdam based dance DGTL joins up with British producer Bonobo at Amsterdam Dance Event 2019 to create an unforgettable ADE experience.

DGTL invites Richie Hawtin and Modeselektor to the Amsterdam Dance Event 2019. First, Modeselektor plays live, experimenting with elements of electro, techno, house and hip-hop. Circoloco, the infamous club at Ibiza teams up with Loveland for a closing party, so you can expect the unexpected at this ADE party. The enviable lineup of underground electronic acts are aimed at getting the dance floor shaking.

7. Cocoon x Loveland

Amsterdam Dance Event 2019 sees a special collaboration between Loveland Events and Cocoon Recordings for one night only. The label’s founding father and superstar dj Sven Väth headlines with a special bill including German legend André Galluzzi and the groove-laden tech-house of Iranian-American Dubfire.

ADE 2019: Klockworks presents Photon

Techno! Klockworks presents Photon is an all-night techno celebration taking place at De Kromhouthal in Amsterdam Noord. Photon, a brainchild of German DJ Ben Klock focusses on manipulating the senses through the use of colour to induce synaesthetic reactions.

9. Martin Garrix solo

Where and when: Amsterdam RAI, Thursday 17 and Friday 18 October 2019

Martin Garrix is the world’s number 1 dj and he is from Amsterdam. This year at Amsterdam Dance Event 2019, you can only see him at the congress center RAI, easily reached by public transport. On Friday the show is an all nighter for 18+ only, on Saturday, all ages are welcome and the show starts at 17.00!

18. Defected Amsterdam

The London house label Defected is organising a 12 hour long house rave at the World Fashion Center. The ADE 2019 lineup features people who know how to get the party started and how can continue for 12 hours. Yes, that’s right, Defected Amsterdam at ADE 2019 starts in daytime (17.00) and lasts until 5 in the morning.

That this top 20 of best ADE parties 2019 is not in any particular order proves this show: last on the list, but bound to turn out a popular one. Jamie Jones and friends are bringing a lineup that pours a little bit of Ibiza over Amsterdam.

Workshops and conferences

During the day you can tune in at gear demonstrations, watch a dance-related film, visit an exposition and improve your own dj-skills by attending a workshop dj-ing.

For dj’s, producers, promoters, and everyone else working in the field of electronic music, Amsterdam Dance Event or ADE is the most important networking event of the year. During the day there are many conferences, about sound, technology, branding and new developments and innovation.

Chill out zone on Sunday

Chill out at ADE Amsterdam 2018

Chilling out on Sunday after all that partying is possible at the Hangover at the NDSM former ship wharf. There will be art installations, a record fair and for further restoration there are saunas, hot tubs and food trucks. The ADE Hangover site is free to visit for everyone with a lineup of dj’s.
